This research project focuses on female political activism between the late nineteenth century and the rise of fascism, paying particular attention to the subjective experiences of lesser-known female dissidents. The objective is not to discuss exceptional women who stood out in the female domain, but rather to highlight lesser-known figures: anti-militarists, socialists, communists, anti-fascists and feminists. These individuals defied the norms and limitations imposed by a male-dominated society, gradually gaining a deeper understanding of their rights as women and citizens.
