One of the most common ways for the diffusion of microorganisms harmful to humans is their transmission from contaminated surfaces to humans. To contrast this phenomenon, various types of surface coatings are developed to provide antimicrobial activity against various high-priority species (pathogenic bacteria, fungi, and viruses), evaluating their efficacy through a combination of different test methods.
