The research group of Prof. Guascito at the Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry (Unisalento, DiSTeBA) will present its activities through posters and dissemination materials. The focus will be on studies dedicated to the development and characterization of electrochemical biosensors with applications in both biomedical and environmental fields.
Activity 1. Development and characterization of electrochemical biosensors for biomedical and environmental applications.
A second line of research will be presented, carried out in collaboration with Dr. Daniele Contini’s group (CNR-ISAC, Lecce campus), Prof. Lionetto’s group (Laboratory of Physiology, Unisalento, DiSTeBA), and Prof. Giotta’s group (Laboratory of Physical Chemistry, Unisalento, DiSTeBA). This research concerns the study of atmospheric particulate matter (PM), explored from both a biological perspective, through cellular assays, and a chemical perspective, through acellular tests aimed at evaluating oxidative potential of PM.
Activity 2. Study of atmospheric particulate matter and its impacts on health and climate.
