SUSTAINABLE BATTERIES: A new energy!
Activities proposed
For
The research group of the European ERC project ‘HYNANOSTORE’ at CNR-Nanotec in Lecce will show how lithium battery production can be revolutionised by using eco-sustainable raw materials derived from biomass. In this event, we will explore how a battery works, from its origins to its evolution throughout history, up to the most recent ones used in today's portable devices. Several experiments will be carried out to demonstrate to adults and children how to build a battery using materials commonly found in the home. On our journey, we will discover how nanotechnology and nature can open the door to the world of sustainable energy.
