The root causes of gender-based violence: culture, systems and power imbalances

Gender-based violence can be examined from various perspectives, and one interesting interpretation explains the phenomenon in terms of gender power imbalances. During the meeting, Dr Roberta De Paolis' book “Le asimmetrie nelle asimmetrie. Profili penali delle disuguaglianze di genere negli squilibri di potere” (Asymmetries in asymmetries. Criminal profiles of gender inequalities in power imbalances) will be presented. Prof. Gaetana Morgante, University of Pisa, will speak.
