Luminescent molecules for smart light
Activities proposed
For
Organic molecules exhibiting Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence (TADF) or Room-Temperature Phosphorescence (RTP) possess extraordinary photophysical properties. Their light emission can be tuned in duration, intensity, and color by simply modifying the surrounding conditions, such as oxygen concentration or the rigidity of the medium in which they are dispersed. This ability to respond to various external stimuli makes them exceptionally well-suited for a wide range of applications: from TV and smartphone displays to nanomedicine, from sensing and biology to the design of smart fabrics and windows for diagnostic and environmental monitoring.
